Financial industry executive. Semi-retired. Travel frequently and like to stay near to whatever principal activity I am traveling for. I live in the tropics so beach is not as important to me as good location for easy access to major roads, etc.
Tantalus Villa was an amazing place to stay! Our host, John-Paul ,was very helpful! The beach was fantastic! We will be back as soon as we can!
We just spent a wonderful week at Tantalus Villas with another family. The beach was amazing, clean and we had it to ourselves. The house is perfectly designed to fully enjoy the outdoors with ample shaded lounge and dining. It was a treat to be able to get all 9 of us around the table or lounge chairs to relax and enjoy the scenery. The home was amazing, everyone had their own comfortable and clean space. The grounds and flowers are beautiful. The pool is very nice, large and private. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi more than we thought we would. Communication and assistance from JP and Heather was wonderful and much appreciated. It was a pleasure to get to know them and they really made our stay special. I recommend hiring Shelly to cook some dinners for you during your stay. The food was fantastic and it allowed us to fully take advantage of our time there.
Our group of 8 absolutely loved our time at Tantalus! The villa was spacious and had everything we needed. The outdoor area is beautiful - we spent most of our time on the patio, in the pool/hot tub, and at the beach. The location is also convenient, which was helpful since we didn't rent a car during our time. There's a grocery store that's a ~15-minute walk away, and a small fishing co-op a little ways up the beach. JP was a great host, and having him on-site was really helpful. He provided recommendations and advice throughout our stay and even drove us to stock up on groceries when we first arrived! I can't recommend this villa enough - we would definitely stay here again the next time we're in Barbados.
A beautiful house on a beautiful beach ! Our stay was great. We came on the island to work but we had the opportunity to enjoy it, thanks to this nice villa close to the city, where we felt in vacation. A place to park the car. Equipment perfect, cleaning everyday included, as the warm sea only at 20 meters from the garden, where we spent more time than in the nice pool ;-) Jacuzzi has been appreciated also by the crew. I look forward to stay here again !
John-Paul and his wife were excellent hosts. Very accommodating and helpful (local tips, and even helped us book a large group on the Jolly Roger), without being intrusive in the least. The property and beach access are top notch. Everyone in my group had an amazing time, and we're already talking about going back and maybe even bringing the kids.
