Pictures don't do this place justice! The views from this house are insane. I don't think I've had a more relaxing spot to drink my morning coffee than in the shade on the porch looking out towards Coral Bay. LBBV was the perfect fit for our group - 5 adults & 6 children. Each bedroom has a ton of privacy, and it's almost impossible to hear anyone else in the house. We slept really well! The home is pretty new compared to most STJ homes, so we also really enjoyed the newer amenities - solar, battery wall backups, new kitchen appliances, humongous TV and fast Wifi. Access to the beach was huge for traveling with kids. It was nice for them to be able to get out and explore while we were at home. Snorkeling was probably the best we saw on the island - both to the left off of the beach as well as to the left of Pelican Rock. Note that it's about as far of a drive as you can make from Cruz Bay. That didn't bother our group as drives to the North Shore beaches provide some of the best views and scenery you can ever imagine. BUT - be sure to set up provisioning for the week's worth of food or plan to stop in Cruz Bay (Starfish) to make a big grocery run. The markets in Coral Bay are pretty limited, especially when it comes to meat. Speaking of meat, LBBV has a nice Weber grill we utilized for multiple meals. Highly recommend staying here!
My wife & I recently took our three sons (7, 9, & 22) and my mom (70) to St. John and were fortunate enough to find this absolute diamond-in-the-rough at the east end of the island, near Coral Bay. We will be back as soon and as often as we are able. I honestly don't know where to start, but of all the places I've been around the world this home/location is at the very top...alongside the overwater bungalow in Bora Bora. Yeah, that good! From the immaculate home & furnishings to the unbelievable landscaping leading down to the private beach... this villa is perfect. The views from the entire home are fantastic and the sunset unmatched. The entire side of the building opens up via sliding glass doors to silver travertine & a perfect-size pool continuing the views. The home included kayaks and gear for exploring, and the swimming/snorkeling was absolutely amazing... our family saw octopus, turtles, more fish species than I can count, and the beautiful reef of sea life that runs along to the left. Make sure to snorkel over to Pigeon Point rocks... very easy swim! Our host, Jessie, was 100% responsive all the time from beginning to end and answered any and all questions. She's the perfect local host, a wonderful human, and happens to be a realtor to the island as well. We will be back and won't stay anywhere else... if it's available!
